How to Introduce Yourself in an interview?
Imagine if this question is asked you by a new friend, I’m sure you will never get nervous or hesitate to answer this, you will tell them about yourself with very ease. But if the same question is asked in an intense situation like an interview, many of you will get nervous and sometimes feel anxiety while answering this. So, following are some of the tips to answer this with confidence:First of all we need to understand that why self introduction is important or why Every HR asked this question in every interview, although you have mentioned all the details in your CV… HR doesn’t want to know about you or any personal reasons, His main motive is to know that how efficiently you can represent yourself. Because no one can represent you better than you, and if you can’t represent yourself in a better way then you can’t represent the company in which you giving the interview represent it a productive way.
Now, to answer this confidently, prepare it’s answer before interview. Prepare it in a structured way like first your name-where do you belong to-about your family-your education qualification-your achievements-your work experience.
Tip to Prepare introduction:
The very important and foremost question asked in every interview is “Tell me about yourself” or “Introduce yourself”.
Never copy the introduction of anyone else. Because your personality is different from others. You are unique. If you will copy someone’s introduction then while telling the same in an interview, it will seem like you have crammed it, and there will be it’s negative impact. Self Introduction should seem natural. Keep it simple, no need to make it complicated. It should be of duration of 30 seconds to 1 minute.
There should nothing fake or lie in your introduction. If you will lie about something and the HR asked you to prove it, you will loose your confidence. For eg: If you say that “teaching is in my blood”, and it’s a lie and HR asked you to prove this you will be in tough situation and if it’s true you can answer it spontaneously with confidence.
Before going to interview, always keep in your mind that it’s not the last opportunity for you to grab. Never keep the Fear of Loss with you. If due to any reason you are not able to crack this interview, there is always a next opportunity. But, simultaneously you should not be overconfident, thinking that I know everything and I don’t need to prepare for it.
Be enthusiast and confident
Some points to avoid in interview:
