Pakistan-based 'psychological oppressor', living in India for past 10-15 years, captured by Delhi Police
The Delhi Police on Tuesday professed to have captured a Pakistan-based "fear based oppressor" who was arranging an assault in the capital. The dread suspect was captured from East Delhi's Laxmi Nagar where he was supposedly living under a phony name. Police said they recuperated an AK-47 rifle, a hand projectile, guns and ammo from his safe-houses in Delhi.
The blamed, recognized as Mohd Ashraf Ali, has been reserved under areas of the UAPA Act, Explosives Act and Arms Act by the Delhi Police's Special Cell.
As indicated by police authorities, Ali hails from the Punjab territory of Pakistan and has been living in India for the last 10-15 years.
"We got a tip that a fear based oppressor was stowing away in Laxmi Nagar and could be arranging something important in the coming days. In light of the information sources, attacks were directed and Ali was secured from his home around 10 pm on Monday. We discovered an AK-47 alongside a few arms and ammo from his home. We speculate he was arranging a significant assault in the city," said a senior cop.
Police said he was living in India under the name Ali Ahmed Noori. He acquired character cards through produced records, they added.
Extraordinary Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Neeraj Thakur said Ali was addressed and at his revelation, the AK-47 and different weapons were recuperated from his refuges in Delhi. Sources said the weapons and fashioned IDs, like an Indian identification, were recuperated from Kalindi Kunj, Turkman Gate.
