Lady 'assaulted' on board Mumbai-bound Pushpak Express train
A 20-year-elderly person was purportedly assaulted by certain burglars on board the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express train among Igatpuri and Kasara rail route stations in Maharashtra on the Central Railway highway, a police official said on Saturday.
The episode happened on Friday night and the Mumbai Government Railway Police (GRP) has captured four individuals in this association, he said.
Quaiser Khalid, Mumbai GRP's Police Commissioner, said the supposed wrongdoing was perpetrated when the express train was navigating the ghat area.
Giving data about the episode and the activity taken by the police, Khalid said in a tweet, "The charged boarded Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express at Igatpuri (Aurangabad Railway region) in sleeper bogie D-2 and began perpetrating the wrongdoing through the Ghat region during the evening."
At the point when the train arrived at Kasara, travelers called out for help. The official and staff at GRP Mumbai quickly reacted, he said, adding that four charged had been captured up until now.
"The casualty is twenty years of age and she has been taken for clinical assessment by our woman official. We are gathering all proof. The charged are being addressed by our group. We are really taking a look at their past records," he said in another tweet.
Agent Commissioner of Police and a group of the wrongdoing branch are examining the offense, he said, adding that the charged had taken property worth Rs 96,390, for the most part cell phones, from the train travelers.
