1,076 new Covid cases, two deaths in Himachal Pradesh

A total of 1,076 cases were recorded in the state in the last 24 hours. The total number of positive cases has risen to 2,43,365, besides two deaths, one each in Shimla and Kangra, taking the fatality figure to 38,74.

The highest number of 199 Covid cases was recorded in Shimla, followed by 152 in Kangra, 151 in Solan, 128 in Mandi, 80 in Una, 79 in Sirmaur, 62 in Hamirpur, 44 in Bilaspur, 41 in Kullu, 14 in Chamba, three in Kinnaur and one in Lahaul-Spiti.

Rakesh Singha, the lone CPM MLA in the state from Theog constituency, has tested positive for Covid-19.
